creative experience

the ultimate

June 27-28, 50+ small businesses will host interactive booths where you can learn, make, and connect directly with the people behind the work.

DIY’s not dead. It just took a nap.

We’re taking over a former Joann’s space to bring hands-on creativity back to the mall. This space was once filled with aisles of fabric, craft supplies, and the start of countless creative projects. It was the kind of place you went when you had an idea, or when you didn’t, but wanted one.

After sitting quiet for some time, we’re bringing that energy back.

For one weekend, the space is reimagined as a living, breathing creative hub, where instead of gathering supplies, you’ll sit down with the people who use them every day. Learn a new skill, make something with your hands, and reconnect with the feeling of creating something from scratch.

How it works

  1. Explore for Free
Admission is free. Walk the space, shop small businesses, and see what everyone is making.

  2. Choose an Activity
Each booth offers a hands-on creative activity led by the maker.

  3. Use Activity Tickets
Purchase tickets at the ticket booth or buy bundles in advance.

  4. Learn, Make, Connect
Sit down, create something, and get to know the person behind the brand.

Where creativity becomes conversation

In a world full of things to buy, it’s easy to miss the story behind them.

OPEN HOUSE creates space for something different. Here, you don’t just pass by a booth, you sit down with the people behind the brand. It’s less like shopping, and more like breaking bread — a chance to slow down, share space, and experience something together.

Through hands-on activities like charm making, painting, small ceramic pieces, or fiber arts, brands invite you into their process. You’ll learn about the materials they choose, the stories that shaped their work, and the cultural or personal influences behind what they create.

It’s a more meaningful way to connect, one where creativity becomes the starting point for conversation.
